Adding Vendors

Create vendor profiles and manage your vendor inventory

Overview

Vendors are the third-party companies you want to assess. Before sending an assessment, you'll need to create a vendor profile with their basic information. This helps you organize assessments and track risk across your vendor portfolio.

Adding a New Vendor

Go to Vendors

Click Vendors in the sidebar navigation.

Click "Add Vendor"

Click the "Add Vendor" button in the top right corner.

Enter Vendor Details

Fill in the vendor information:

  • Company Name (required)
  • Contact Email (required for sending assessments)
  • Contact Name (optional)
  • Website (optional)
  • Category (e.g., SaaS, Consulting, Infrastructure)
  • Notes (internal notes about the vendor)

Save

Click "Save Vendor". The vendor is now ready to receive assessments.

Bulk Import (Pro & Enterprise)

Have many vendors to add? Use the bulk import feature to upload a CSV file:

  1. 1.Download the CSV template from the Vendors page
  2. 2.Fill in your vendor data (company name, email, etc.)
  3. 3.Click "Import CSV" and upload your file
  4. 4.Review the import preview and confirm

Vendor Categories

Organize vendors by category to filter and report on risk by vendor type:

SaaS / Cloud Services
Infrastructure / Hosting
Professional Services
Data Processors
Financial Services
Other

Enterprise plans can create custom categories that match your organization's taxonomy.

Managing Vendors

Edit Vendor Details

Click on any vendor to view their profile, then click "Edit" to update their information. Changes don't affect past assessments.

View Assessment History

The vendor profile shows all past and current assessments, risk score trends, and identified findings.

Archive Vendors

No longer working with a vendor? Archive them to hide from the active list while preserving their assessment history for compliance purposes.
